Meet Tom…

Tom first reached out to us at the age of 92 because he wanted to get stronger and maintain his independence.

He noticed many people at his senior living community were falling, and he was determined NOT to be one of them.

So he took a chance and started taking our Pilates Chair class 1x/week.

He loved it so much, he increased his workouts to 3x/week and eventually was working out with us 5 days a week doing a combination of Pilates Chair AND strength training classes.

When I asked Tom why he kept coming back, he told me:

  • A: We currently offer Live Stream & On Demand Pilates Chair classes that include, but are not limited to the following variations:

    -Pilates Chair: Strength, Pilates Chair: Balance, Pilates Chair: Stretch, Pilates Chair: Plus (intermediate +), Gentle Pilates Chair (Sitting Only)

    Our live stream Pilates Chair classes are currently as follows:

    • Mondays: 10am Pilates Chair: Balance

    • Tuesdays: 9am Pilates Chair: Plus

    • Wednesdays: 9am Pilates Chair: Strength

    • Fridays: Pilates Chair: Stretch

    All classes are in Pacific Time (Los Angeles, USA time zone). This schedule is subject to change without notice.

  • A: Not at this time. I believe that offering a “single class” is a disservice to you because:

    1. Sometimes it takes trying more than one class to find one that is suitable for you (be it class type, intensity, or instructor)

    2. It will take more than one class to see long-term results.

      Yes, you can feel better in as little as one class BUT… one class will not radically change your life.

      It typically takes 6-8 weeks, at minimum, to start building strength and most clients see the best results after 6 months to one year of consistency.

  • A: If you are currently having any red flag pain symptoms (burning, tingling, numbness, heat, stabbing, sharp…etc.) you NEED to make sure you are cleared by your doctor before starting classes with us.

    This is for your safety and to ensure there are no underlying medical conditions that need to be addressed.

  • A: Yes! Pilates is a great tool for building strength and helping improve muscle definition while decreasing body fat (aka “toning”).

    We also offer supplementary strength and barre + cardio classes such as:

    • Lower Body Strength

    • Upper Body Strength

    • Cardio/Hiit

    • Posture & Core Strength

    • Full Body Workout

    • Pilates Barre + Cardio (Arms & Abs, Booty Burn)

    • Pilates Chair Plus

      ^^ I would consider these classes to be intermediate+

    However, all of our Pilates classes include exercises that can help you build strength and "tone up".

  • A: Absolutely! All of our classes are taught with live feedback and cuing throughout the entire class. Whether you are taking the class live or watching it on demand, it's as if the instructor is there watching you the whole time!

    Unlimited Live + On Demand members have the option to ask their instructor specific questions before or after live stream classes and in our Private Members Only Facebook group.

    If you are just starting out, I recommend starting with one of the following classes:

    • Gentle Pilates Mat

    • Gentle Yoga

    • Pilates Chair

  • A: While you can start feeling better in as little as one class, I recommend committing to a new workout program for no less than 3-6 months to see results (ideally 6-12 months for long term, sustainable results). Here's why...

    It's going to take you a few weeks, maybe even a month to get into a good routine... because LIFE.

    If you're just starting out, there is a bit of a learing curve finding and maintaining a regular workout schedule and that's okay. You may also be starting with only 1-3 classes per week, which I fully support.

    While expecting dramatic changes in 6-12 weeks is unrealistic, you will probably start to see initial results by then!

  • A: We have an entire class program called Pilates Chair that was created 11+ years ago just for this reason! You don't have to be "old" or "fragile" to take this class.

    Maybe you:

    ...just had a knee or hip replacement

    ... are in your third trimester, and need to modify your exercises for the remainder of your pregnancy

    ...are carrying a little extra weight and find getting on the floor to be uncomfortable

    ...have arthritis (osteo, scoliosos, stenosis, DDD, spondy. etc.) and prefer smaller, safer movements

    Pilates Chair is offered Mon-Fri live at 10:00am PDT AND we have over 1,000 On Demand classes for our unlimited members.
